The Socrates - Grundtvig project

socrates

The new generation of EU Education and Training Programmes give greater emphasis to lifelong learning. Grundtvig is the action within the Socrates programme which aims to enhance adult education provision by means of European co-operation.

It supports transnational co-operation projects, learning partnerships, mobility for training of educational staff and networks.

Belgium, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom joined forces in 2002. Until December 2004 they work together on the Grundtvig project called "Women learning for an active life".

RoSa Documentation Centre and Archive, acting as the Belgian partner, created distant learning courses to stimulate women to step into politics.

Further information about Socrates - Grundtvig can be found on the Europa website.
